As an entrepreneur I'm often faced with the question why should people care? I think a better question should have been asked of me to focus on- what will move people to action? Undoubtedly people have reacted with great compassion to the story of nana afia's ART EXPO. Since 2007 I have been committed to helping a village in Ghana get sustainable, affordable and safe access to running water. With an audacious dream that it will include safe sanitation solutions and toilets.
It wasn't until 2010 that my idea began to come together as a busiiness. This blog is my witness to this journey. It has been especially crushing. With 2017 approaching I never imagined 10 years later I would in many ways be no closer to safe water access. Although I dare not think on if I am not further away.
On December 2, 2016, after a conversation with an inspiring and supportive associate, I quietly launched another crowdfund campaign.

Crisis Community is a project that has developed out of my water experience the last 10 years and my passion for social justice for the last 25+ years. In line with the last crowdfund campaign earlier this year I am still attempting to raise money for water filter stations that can immediately help hundreds, even thousands, access safe drinking water daily at lower price than the options available to the 80% of Ghanaians that do not have access now.
Living in this small village for the short times I have, even in Accra with a small travel budget, myself become sick from water. Right now there is a strong rhetorical campaign about "Water is Life"! I hope you will share my story with your network because together we can make huge positive impacts in people's lives. Check out Project Safe Water and share with everyone you know who also believes:
SAFE WATER IS A HUMAN RIGHT!
