It has been 18 months since my last blog. I had a year away from blogging before but that time was in part because I was in a failure tailspin and had no inspiration to write. This time was because I was in mourning.
My last post I shared my experience at The Green Party of the United States Annual Convention the second year I attended as an active member. Even though the week I returned I went to look at new space for the business that experience tormented me for months.
I continue with my long reflection on the disconnect in white progressive spaces that espouse equality and diversity except when it shows up in ways that makes those white spaces uncomfortable. I honestly have yet to figure out why anyone is uncomfortable around people who want to be self-determining.
In February I wrote a resolution backed by the GP Black Caucus to support the legislation in the US House Bill H. R. 40, Reparations for Americans of African Descent and became the co-chair of the GPUS- Black Caucus Working Group on Reparations.

This entire 18 months I wanted to blog. To share that the business moved into a studio. And if you follow me online you do know that. I had so much to share but blogging about my complete and utter disappointment with the Green Party of the United States is like putting sage on this blog. Just like New Orleans venture capital network GPUS in action is anything but progressive.
As I'm writing this post Facebook sent me a notice->
I have done a lot of work for the Green Party of the United States. In my city, state and nationally. At our state convention I will resign and resign all of my national Black Caucus positions too.
The Green Party is not a safe place for people of color that wish to be self-determining.
And so it will get no MORE space on my blog nor use of my political hopes.
It has run out too many Black Women for that.
I have come to the conclusion that politics is useless with a demoralized electorate.

ESPECIALLY BLACK WOMEN.
